The World Cup Card Game
Shaun Derrick has just announced that a card game based on his popular World Cup Game system is now available to buy.
The WCCG has 64 cards divided into 32 Team cards and 32 Action cards. Each group match is played individually but this takes seconds to resolve, then the KO stages are played in a similar way to the Board Game. The game costs £5.95 plus p&p and can be ordered from the Games For The World website. Further details including a detailed example of play can be found here.

I really enjoyed the World Cup Game (and fully intend to get it out again during the upcoming tournament) but have struggled to find enough games players who are into football enough to want to play it. Still, my interest is equally piqued by this card version

Luckily, we have a few fans of the board game so it should be fairly easy to get it to the table for us. Watch out for a report once we’ve tried it.
